doorstep choice of "big-fish" rivers
The Skeena is well known for its sport fishing, most notably Chinook Salmon and Steelhead and is second only to the Fraser River in its capacity to produce Sockeye salmon. The largest Chinook Salmon was caught on the Skeena weighing over 99lbs!
The Kitimat River is a popular destination for freshwater fishing. Hook into huge runs of Chinook, Coho, Pink and Chum salmon, as well as trophy-sized Steelhead. This is a drift-boat river and offers some of the best raft fishing in British Columbia.
The Kalum River is a tributary of the Skeena River that borders our lodge, creating our own private boat launch onto the river. Huge Chinook Salmon enter the Kalum river from May onwards and add to the annual run of Steelhead, Chum, Pink and Coho.
